Why we're building EverPal

EverPal started with a phone call that didn't happen. One of us was sitting at a kitchen table on the other side of the country, in back-to-back meetings, while a parent sat alone with a cup of tea and no good reason to call anyone.

We kept noticing the same thing in our families and our friends' families. The hardest part of getting older, for many people, isn't the big medical stuff. It's the ordinary afternoons. The quiet hours. The moments when you'd love to mention a small thing to someone — and there's no one to mention it to.

We didn't want to build another app. Our parents don't want another app. They want a phone that rings, or a number they can call, and a voice that's actually kind on the other end.

So that's what we're making. One number. One warm voice. And, when they're ready, a small circle of others who get it.
